First, aluminum soft tube is a kind of packing material which is produced based on pure aluminum (99.7%) through producing process like extruding, annealing, and printing. Usual products volume is 2mml to 200ml, diameter ¢11-¢38, length 50mm-220ml. At present aluminum tubes are mainly used in travelling toothpaste (¢11-¢13.5), ointment (¢11-¢22), painting ink (¢13.5-¢25), shoeshine (¢25-¢35), adhesive (¢13.5-¢16), like 502 and 307, car adhesive (¢25-¢35), AB glue (¢25-¢25),cosmetics (¢25-¢38),hair dye (¢25-¢32),pen(¢13.5-¢25), toothpaste (¢25-¢35),food like chocolate, mustard(¢25-¢35).Usually, common specifications are : ¢11,¢13.5,¢16,¢19,¢22,¢25,¢28,¢32,¢35 and so on.
According to products size, the production lines are divided into small diameter lines (¢11¢25) and big diameter lines (¢25-¢38), their producing processes are the same; the common producing processes as follows:
Mix aluminum slugs with mold lubricant, then pouring slugs into punch machines slug elevator, through punchs squeezing, slugs become germ tubes. Conveying chains transmit germ tubes to next process: trimming machines slot.
Trimming machine cut tube mouths extra part, cutting tubes end (deciding tubes length), cutting mouth thread, polish tubes shoulder. The appearance of germ tube is fixed after coming from trimming machine, conveying belt transmit tubes to annealing oven.
Annealing oven uses high temperature to eliminate germ tubes hardness caused by cold extraction impact. Through adjusting annealing ovens temperature, tubes hardness can be controlled to meet customers needs.
After annealing, usually it is need to spray one coating on tubes inner wall. Some products do not need this procedure. Inner coatings aim is to meet hygiene and antisepsis needs.
Tubes from inner coating machines needs drying in lacquering oven to dry coating at high temperature.
Next printing tubes cylindrical surface. Printing can be divided into two stages; the first step is base coating printing. After base coating, tubes come into oven to dry base coating.
Printing machine print patterns on tubes surface. Usually upmost 4-6 colors can be used. Printed tube through ovens drying is a finished product.
There is a plastic cap when using aluminum tube. In order to improve working efficiency, automatic capping machine is equipped to production lines, capping automatically. (Of course, if producing ointment tube, it must be equipped with capping machine, because in this process, it is not allowed to touch products directly.
Some products need spraying sealant at tubes end to get better airproof effect. Automatic latex machine can undertake this function.
After end latex, products are finished. After passing inspections, products are packed into box and used by customers.
